Bananas

The bananas we grow are all ornamentals intended to provide dramatic foliage displays and many also have beautiful inflorescence. All of the Musa have inflorescence but the ornate, coccinea, velutina and the African red are stunning and long lasting. The Musella is extremely cold hardy, at least to zone 7, and has a bright yellow flower that looks like a large lotus flower. The foliage is a beautiful green and best of all the flowers lasts up to 6 months.
