Allagoptera

Allagoptera is a small palm with pinnate leaves that is found along the eastern coast of South America. It is one of the more attractive short trunked palms. It can be regarded as a shrub in the landscape and tolerates full sun to partial shade. At least one of the four species is salt and cold tolerant to zone 8b.
