Pseudophoenix

Pseudophoenix is a beautiful genus with pinnate leaves and bottle shaped trunks that have a waxy coating on them. They all come from the Caribbean Basin from south Florida, Bahamas, Cuba, and Mexico. They grow on calcareous soils under dry conditions and they are all slow growing.
