Rhapis

Rhapis is a genus of finely segmented fan leaved palms from Asia. They have clustering trunks with dense webs of brown leaf fiber and grow to about 6 feet. They are understory palms so require shade and are amazingly cold tolerant. They can grow an astonishing number of stems, 100 or more, if allowed and also make superb indoor plants.
