Ordering

Order Minimums
We strive to provide our customers with very competitive pricing and put a lot of care into professionally preparing your plants to endure the burdens of transportation. As a result, we do ask that all orders have a minimum of $25 in tropical plant goods (not including shipping or other fees). Your understanding and support of this policy is appreciated.
Phytosanitary Cerificate Requirements
Certain states require that we certify your tropical plants to indicate they meet your state's import requirements. This phytosanitary certification must be conducted by our state inspector on an as needed basis. Affected states include: Arizona, California, Hawaii, Oregon, Washington and Puerto Rico.

For phytosanitary certification, we must charge $10 per order to defray inspection costs. You should expect some delay in shipment if we need to have an inspector manually certify your order. In rare cases, the delay may be an additional 2-3 week. We will attempt to expedite the certification of your order to the best of our ability.
Shipping & Delivery

Bare Root Shipments
All 1 gallon and larger sized plants may be shipped bare rooted.
Shipping Schedule
Orders are normally shipped within 1-2 weeks of placement. To avoid your plants suffering damage in transit due to excessive warehousing in uncontrolled environments, we ship most orders on Mondays or Tuesdays and occasionally ship some orders on Fridays. Once your order ships, we'll notify you by email notification with tracking information. Most orders should arrive within 3-5 business days from shipping.
Minimum Shipping Cost
To ensure we able to provide all your plants the careful packaging process they deserve so they can arrive to you in good condition, we have set a $14 minimum shipping charge for all orders, except for AK, CA, CT, ID, ND, NH, NV, MA, ME, MI, MT, OH, OR, RI, SD, VT, WA, AZ, HI, and PR orders which have a $21 minimum shipping charge.This enables us to provide customers with a high quality level of service.

Returns & Replacements

Plants should arrive in good condition. If they don't, please notify us within 72 hours and we will replace the plants if possible, or refund the list price. We will do whatever it takes to satisfy your expectations. Please note that 1 gallon and larger sized plants may be shipped bare rooted. When corresponding please provide full name, address, and phone number in order to process your claim in a timely manner.

Tejas Tropicals is committed to respecting your privacy and protecting any personally identifiable information that you share with us. We do not attempt to capture or solicit any personal information as part of your visit to this site.

Information We Collect
When you order products or register on this site, we ask you to provide your name, email address, mailing address and billing address, day phone number and credit card information (when ordering products only). This information is stored in the most secure environment available today on the Internet, and only your name, address, email address and phone numbers are stored - not your credit card information. We need your phone number because it is required by UPS for delivery and also in the event that we need to ask you a question about your order.  Your phone number will not be used for any other purpose nor will it ever be shared with any company other than UPS.

Information We Share
We use the information you provide for internal purposes such as confirming and tracking your order, and on rare occasions to send you information about new products, special sales or events.

We utilize industry standard 128-bit SSL ("Secure Socket Layers") technology to encrypt your credit card information. Look for the padlock or locked key icon in your browser on the billing screen when ordering which indicates that your information is secure.
